Dr. George, as he prefers to be called by his patients, believes in treating the
whole person, and does not view pregnancy as a disease. He believes strongly that
woman should be in charge of her health care decisions and that together they can
decide on treatment.
“I see my relationship with my patients as more of a partnership, where together
we decide on the right course for each woman.”
"One of the reasons why I chose to specialize in OB/GYN care is because I get to
know my patients and their family and I think the close relationship we develop
allows me to provide better care."
Dr. George welcomes the participation of the woman and her partner in care decisions.

Dr. George was raised in Chicago and attended Lane Tech High School. He went on
to obtain a degree in Chemistry from the University of Illinois, Chicago before
deciding to attend medical school.
In 1986, he started medical school at Rush Medical College, in Chicago. He continued
his studies with a challenging residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at University
of Illinois Hospital, also in Chicago. There, under the guidance of Dr. Andrew Brill,
a recent president of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, he
developed advanced skills in minimal invasive gynecologic surgery.
Even with all his skills and experience with surgery and gynecologic procedures,
he continues to find participating in normal birth to be exciting, challenging and
satisfying.
Dr. George is also proud to support midwifery care for healthy pregnant women. His
wife, Samantha McCormick, is a Certified Nurse Midwife who runs
Baby Love Birth Center, which is located next door to
Cape
Women's Care.
He lives in Cape Coral and enjoys the Florida lifestyle, including boating and fishing.
