Laparoscopic Surgery: (Perfomed at Cape Coral Hospital)
Minimally invasive Hysterectomy.
Laparoscopy for Endometriosis.
Dr George has performed over 1000 laparoscopic surgeries, and over 3000 surgical
procedures.
Surgical & Medical Management of bladder or uterine prolapse.
Minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery results in quicker recovery for the woman
and can provide excellent treatment for problems such as endometriosis, pelvic pain,
and ovarian cysts. Using specially designed tiny cameras, Dr. George can perform
a hysterectomy with only small (1/4 inch) incisions on the stomach, resulting in
post-surgical recovery time of 1-2 weeks, instead of the usual 6-8 weeks.

Pelvic organ prolapse and the resulting urinary incontinence are becoming more common
in an aging population. Women once thought they simply had to live with this problem,
but advances in surgical and pharmaceutical treatments can result in drastic improvement
and a return to an active lifestyle.
Most women who have their incontinence surgically
repaired can expect long-term complete relief of urine leakage.
Endometriosis is a special area of concern for Dr. George. More common that most
realize, endometriosis and the painful periods, infertility and pelvic pain that
result can often be successfully treated with minimally invasive surgery. He has
successfully treated endometriosis and pelvic pain with minimally invasive surgical
techniques over the past 14 years. “I find it very gratifying to see a woman who
has been in pain for years from endometriosis return to the office after surgery
and it shows on their face that the pain is finally gone.”
